Here’s a power greens smoothie that’s not green! But it is, really! It’s very berry…..hmmm….green because as it’s name states it’s full of berries and green for the unsuspecting green smoothie ingredient, spinach. It’s a great way to sneak in the health benefits of spinach greens without your drinkers big or small suspecting anything. My little smoothie drinkers really like this smoothie and I don’t feel guilty about giving it to them as a snack or cold treat.

Super Berries & Power Greens Smoothie

This smoothie recipe has great health benefits since it’s high in antioxidants; you know, those super power properties that help delay or prevent cell damage and lower the risk of some diseases. It’s a win win when you have a smoothie full of antioxidants and raw spinach greens that feed your bones and heart with plenty of good nutrition.  Your body will thank you for feeding it so much goodness.

Give it a try and let me know what you think! Also, feel free to substitute the milk and/or water for other milks. It will not change the taste much I’m sure.  Just make sure you use organic berries, fresh or frozen (especially strawberries and blueberries) since they are on the dirty dozen plus list for produce high in pesticides.
