Basic Pizza Sauce Recipe

This is a basic pizza sauce recipe that you could make even simpler if you don't have fresh garlic. You could simply mix all the ingredients together, no cooking and you're done! I personally love fresh garlic in it.

  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • dash of sea salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat Olive Oil on medium heat in a medium saucepan, then once warm add minced garlic.
  2. Cook garlic about 2 minutes till fragrant and just turning golden
  3. Immediately add tomato sauce and tomato paste to cool down garlic
  4. Lastly add rest of seasonings, stir and done.

Notes

This recipe makes about 2 cups of pizza sauce. Depending on your sauce amount preference this sauce will cover 4 large sheet pan pizzas. We use about 1/2 cup per sheet pan pizza and a bit less for smaller round thin crust pizzas.
