Homemade Southern Pimento Cheese Recipe (Spread-Dip)

This Southern Pimento Cheese Spread will be the star at your party! Sweet, tangy with a subtle bite. Spread it, add to dishes or dip into it!  Try it with crackers or dip your favorite veggies.  It's great mixed into dishes for a twist, add it on your burger or make a grilled cheese sandwich with it.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 8 oz. cream cheese softened
  • 3 Tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1-7 oz. jar pimentos drained & squeezed (about 2/3 cup after drained)
  • 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper depending on spiciness tolerance

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a medium mixing bowl.
  • Stir and mash with a fork till you no longer see white clumps of cream cheese.  
  • Enjoy immediately or chill in the refrigerator till ready to serve.

Keep refrigerated when not enjoying and enjoy within about 5 days of making.  Can be made a day ahead for a party!
