Basic Pizza Sauce Recipe

This is a basic pizza sauce recipe that you could make even simpler if you don't have fresh garlic. You could simply mix all the ingredients together, no cooking and you're done! I personally love fresh garlic in it.

  • 1 15 oz can Organic Tomato Sauce
  • 6 oz Organic Tomato Paste
  • 1/2 Tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • dash of sea salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Heat Olive Oil on medium heat in a medium saucepan, then once warm add minced garlic.
  • Cook garlic about 2 minutes till fragrant and just turning golden
  • Immediately add tomato sauce and tomato paste to cool down garlic
  • Lastly add rest of seasonings, stir and done.

Notes

This recipe makes about 2 cups of pizza sauce. Depending on your sauce amount preference this sauce will cover 4 large sheet pan pizzas. We use about 1/2 cup per sheet pan pizza and a bit less for smaller round thin crust pizzas.
