Teriyaki Chicken Bowl

I use my Ginger Teriyaki Sauce for this Teriyaki Bowl recipe.  It's an easy 5 minute sauce that can be used anytime a recipe calls for Teriyaki sauce.  The recipe makes about 1 cup of sauce and this recipe calls for a half cup, so you'll have some extra to drizzle on bowls as you please.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb. chicken (Breasts or Thighs) cut into 3/4" cubes
  • 1/2 cup Ginger Teriyaki Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp.  Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Vegetable of choice for bowl (Optional) I usually use broccoli
  • Rice or Udon Noodles for bowl (Optional)

Instructions

  • Cube chicken and prep vegetables if you have not done so already.
  • Make the Teriyaki Sauce (This just takes about 5 mins total) and then set aside.
  • Heat up wok or large skillet to Medium high heat.
  • Once skillet is hot, add olive oil, then chicken once the oil is hot.
  • Give the chicken a quick stir and then sprinkle salt and pepper all over chicken.
  • Continue cooking chicken 4-5 minutes stirring occasionally or until cooked through to 145 deg. (If your chicken has a lot of water, be sure to drain off what you can during this cooking stage.)
  • Add 1/2 cup of Teriyaki Sauce and stir to glaze the chicken with it, cooking for about a minute. Drizzle with sesame oil at this time as well.
  • Remove chicken from heat and serve on top of your starch (i.e. rice or noodles) with your vegetable of choice.  Feel free to drizzle a little extra sauce on the dishes if you like.

Notes

This Chicken Teriyaki Bowl goes great with jasmine rice or Asian noodles and your vegetable.  I love it with my steamed or air fryer broccoli.  It makes for an easy, quick and really tasty meal!
