This Sweet Sriracha Sauce is a little different than most. While it has the telltale spice of Sriracha, it also includes a subtle honey sweetness and vinegary tang. It can be used as a dip or drizzle on everything from eggs, tacos and veggies to avocado toast. I have been a fan of Sriracha for many years but just recently decided to branch out a little and create something that was more than just mayo and sriracha sauce
mixed together.
Sweet Sriracha
Just a little good raw honey gives this sauce the sweet edge it needs to be a more versatile sauce. It makes it more appealing to people who are not as into the heat of straight sriracha sauce.
Not all Sriracha Sauce is the Same
I’ve tried all sorts of sriracha, but the green top Huy Fong Sriracha aka “Rooster Sauce” you find in most grocery stores and many restaurants, has really set the standard for that great sriracha flavor that has become so popular in this country. There are others out there, but they’re all very different, like good craft beer. Some are more vinegary than others (more Thai style) and might not have the same bite. The popularity of sriracha sauce has grown so much that it’s got sort of a cult following and it’s being mimicked in smaller batches as well. For fun, check out the short documentary, Sriracha
. If you’re also a fan of sriracha, you’ll enjoy seeing how it’s made and it’s origin.
I do prefer the green top sriracha for this particular sweet sriracha sauce. It’s popular for a reason; the flavor, the texture, just the right combination for sriracha lovers. The only unfortunate part about it is that it has one preservative that is not favorable, Sodium Bisulfite, but it is only one additive and seemingly minimal. There are a couple others that rate highly for flavor, heat and texture and don’t have preservatives like Fix Sriracha Hot Sauce and Organicville Sriracha
(They might be less expensive at a local store).
Sauce of All Trades
This Creamy Sweet Sriracha Sauce pairs extremely well with pretty much anything that needs a creamy sauce or dip. Use it as a dip for crispy chicken tenders, an addition to a sandwich, a drizzle on tacos and the list just keeps on going!

This is a sweet and slightly spicy sauce you might want to drizzle on just about everything from tacos, meat, scrambled eggs and even avocado toast. Beware of it's addiction though. It's also a great dip. The Thickness of the sauce will vary depending on the thickness of your mayo as we've recently discovered.
