Autumn is my favorite season! It’s starting to cool down or already chilly in places; the outdoors are morphing and it’s now cool enough to enjoy the outdoors more frequently without sweating constantly. This is also the time of year when people start craving more comfort foods to warm their insides, but that doesn’t mean those foods need to be gut busters.
Almost any recipe you desire can be morphed into a healthier delish dish! Easy ways to morph those recipes is to experiment with substitutions like: Non fat or Greek yogurt in place of sour cream or mayonnaise, milk or low fat milk in place of heavy cream, honey in place of some sugar, ground lean bison meat instead of full fat beef in chili or try vegetarian options. So, satisfy those cravings in moderation and enjoy the season, but think about how to morph that recipe into a better for you real dish! And get outside and walk or try something new in the cooler temps.
